Published! The Knot, Fall/Winter 2009

By Dan & Anne Almasy | E-Shoots, Press & Praise | January 7, 2010 |

Pick up the latest The Knot magazine to see a photo from Michelle and Tomi’s E-Shoot! They took advantage of their engagement photos to also create Save-the-Date photographs that we used for their custom Save-the-Date Cards! The idea is featured in The Knot’s “Photo Trends” article on page 117.

This is The Knot: Georgia, but we’ve heard that the same article is in other magazines throughout the country. We’d love to hear from you if you’ve stumbled across this photo in another state! :)

Mini: Lauren + Robert

By Anne Almasy | E-Shoots | December 21, 2009 |

The oh-so-fabulous Lauren Wright is engaged! I’m so thrilled to be photographing her marriage celebration with the love-of-her-life Robert. Lauren and Robert already had their engagement photos made by the super-talented Florida photographer Scarlett Lillian, but I wanted to spend a little bit of time with them myself before the wedding day, so we met up for a few photos at my favorite-ever Christmas tree farm down in Hampton. I’ve known Lauren for a while, but this was my first opportunity to meet Robert. It was so obvious right from the get-go that he and Lauren make complete sense together. Their love is the real deal, and I am completely honored to be part of such an amazing part of their journey together!

Engaged! Amanda + Graham

By Dan & Anne Almasy | E-Shoots | November 12, 2009 |

Amanda and Graham are just precious together! Amanda is teeny-tiny, and Graham is 6′5″, but they fit so perfectly with one another. They both laughed their way through our entire E-Shoot, and really just couldn’t get enough of one another. We’re SO excited to be their photographers!

This was part of an art installation downtown, and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make Amanda and Graham part of it:

Initials?

THANKS, Amanda and Graham, for giving us your Sunday afternoon!  You two are WONDERFUL!

Engaged! Ricci + Jacquelyn

By Anne Almasy | E-Shoots | October 23, 2009 |

When I found out that my sister’s Chi-O sis Ricci had gotten engaged, I knew immediately that I wanted to take her engagement photos! She and Jacquelyn were on board, but they were both COMPLETELY nervous! To take the edge off, we stopped at Grant Park’s Dakota Blue for some cheese-covered tater tots (YUM!) and a couple of drinks before we started any picture-taking. I snuck behind the bar for this series of the girls taking a couple Lemondrop shots:

On to the park! They may have felt nervous, but Ricci and Jac were also super-smiley and so FUN to hang out with!

Jacquelyn proposed to Ricci, but Ricci plans to reciprocate with a fancy-schmancy ring for Jac as well.  In the meantime, she’s wearing an adorable plastic band that Ricci gave her when they were first dating.

This is my favorite:

While we were out, my sister Katie called!  Of course she had to talk to Ricci:

Goobers:

Ricci and Jac, thank you SO MUCH for letting me photograph you!  You are so wonderful together, and I know you have years and years of laughter and happiness ahead of you!  {{HUGS!}}

Engaged! Rachael + Caleb

By Dan & Anne Almasy | E-Shoots | October 10, 2009 |

We do most of our E-Shoots in Atlanta, so it was really fun to drive up to north Georgia for Rachael and Caleb’s E-Shoot! One of their family friends gave us free reign of their property, complete with an historic old home, vineyard, and apple orchard! We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful location or a more perfect day. To complete the picture, Rachael and Caleb are absolutely gorgeous themselves, and so completely in love with one another it just spilled over into all of their photographs! I had a hard time narrowing it down for this blog post, but I finally selected some favorites. We can’t wait for their wedding next year!

Engaged! Julia + Carson

By Dan & Anne Almasy | E-Shoots | September 23, 2009 |

We’re so happy to be photographing Julia and Carson’s wedding next year!  They claim to be totally awkward in front of the camera, but we LOVED photographing them!  Carson lives in Atlanta’s Castleberry Hill neighborhood, so we headed out past Phillips Arena for photos…

This is one of my favorites:

Another favorite:

More wonderful Atlanta graffiti!

I think they look like a magazine ad in this one:

We got in a little bit of trouble for trespassing, but this skyline view was totally worth it!

Julia and Carson, we can’t wait to celebrate with you in the spring!

Engaged! Tera + Brett

By Dan & Anne Almasy | E-Shoots | August 24, 2009 |

Big thanks to JONI and TIFFANY for sending Tera and Brett our way!

They’re getting married in October, and it’s going to be FUN FUN FUN, with a totally new venue (for us) and lots of personal touches (from them). :)

They both mountain bike, so we had to include their bikes in some photos…

I like that they’re laying down in the foreground, and their bikes are laying down in the background.

We did not spray paint the wall.  It had already been done for us.  Oh Atlanta… how I love you!

Tera and Brett, thanks for coming out on a super-hot August evening for pictures!

Engaged! Jenn & Billy

By Dan & Anne Almasy | E-Shoots | August 14, 2009 |

The past couple of weeks have been SO busy for us, and we’ve fallen way behind with our blogging! To rev things back up, here are some favorites from Jenn and Billy’s E-Shoot. These two have so much energy and passion — for life and for each other! We can’t wait to celebrate with them in November!

We found a series of abandoned train cars on some old tracks in east Atlanta.  It was great to climb all over the train without worrying about getting arrested!

Jenn is a photographer, too, and she brought some of her old cameras to incorporate into the shoot.

Billy is a musician, and we got to hear him serenade Jenn for this series!

Jenn said, “You have to take a picture of our butts while they’re small and cute.”  HA.
