Anne and I had the pleasure of photographing Lisa and Jason earlier this week for their engagement, and we can already tell they’re going to be a great couple to work with – we can’t wait to shoot their wedding!

Arielle and Logan celebrated their gorgeous morning wedding in Cullman, Alabama — where’s that? Somewhere north of Birmingham. But it’s a charming little town with wonderful people and a GORGEOUS lakeside pavillion where Arielle and Logan held their ceremony and reception.

We’d met Arielle last year, but didn’t have the pleasure of meeting Logan until Saturday. He and Arielle are such a perfect match for one another! Their bond is obvious, and it was a joy to be around them and their families!

Anne started the morning off with the girls getting ready. Arielle’s mom had such a delicate presense; it was wonderful to watch the two of them interact on such an important day in their lives.

Dan spent the morning with Logan and his best man. Logan was cool and calm, and we both really love the portrait Dan captured of him just before he headed down to the ceremony site.

Arielle’s “hiding place” before the ceremony was a small bamboo grove up a path from the pond. She was just as serene as Logan, and beautiful to watch as she waited!

Bliss Event Group did such an amazing job designing Laura and Matt’s wedding, we just HAD to dedicate a post specifically to them! These are just a handful of the incredible details that made Laura and Matt’s wedding day so perfect.

Laura and Matt’s wedding in Pensacola, Florida, was absolutely EXQUISITE, thanks in large part to phenomenal event design by Bliss, Florida’s premier event group.

Laura’s grandmother opened her beautiful Pensacola home to an intimate wedding celebration of about 75 guests. Everything about Laura and Matt’s wedding was lovely — not the least of which was Laura and Matt themselves. We had not had the opportunity to meet either the bride or groom before the wedding day, so we were thrilled to finally get to see them face-to-face! They are a terrific couple, and their families and friends just radiated love and excitement.

I first met Ashley in high school. I thought she looked like Alanis Morissette — and actually TOLD her that! — and *somehow* she agreed to be my friend after that. Ha. (Ashley, you are — of course — WAY prettier!)

I’m SO honored to be photographing Ashley and Josh’s wedding at the end of this month! Watching my friends grow up and get married is one of life’s strangest experiences; getting to actually BE A PART of that process is even stranger — and REALLY really cool!

Dan and I had an awesome time shooting with Ashley and Josh last week. Our new neighborhood has so many fantastic little nooks and crannies to shoot in; we’re ALWAYS discovering something new! (Josh narrowly avoided being instructed by me to practically sit in an ant bed, but aside from that everything went smoothly!)

We can’t believe the wedding is only a couple of weeks away!!!

I know… I know… we say this all the time… BUT: Joni and Chip are a FANTASTIC couple! We just adore them! They’re both working creatives — Joni is an industrial designer for Goody and Chip owns his own graphics and design company, Hybr-ID — and their creativity spills over into everything they touch. It was such fun shooting with them!

We LOVE creating custom prints and products, so we were really excited that Rashida and Robert wanted a custom Print Design for their favorite engagement photos. Their concept included text, which can be tough to incorporate well; but we put together a clean design that they both love!

The 11×14 finished print was printed on metallic paper and mounted on styrene. Rashida will have it matted in an extra-wide mat for signing on their wedding day!

It was so much fun photographing Alesha Mann and Drew Walker’s wedding on April 28! They celebrated at Chateau Elán, the exquisite winery and resort in north Georgia near Gainesville, the Walker family’s home town.

This cigar box? It’s a cake. Yes, a CAKE. The groom’s cake, as a matter of fact, full of edible chocolate cigars!
