Married! Lauren + Mike

By Dan & Anne Almasy | Weddings | April 27, 2007 |

Saturday in Madison, GA was absolutely perfect!

Their wedding was celebrated at Madison Oaks, a stunning plantation about an hour’s drive from Atlanta. Soiree! hosted the event with phenomenal results! A HUGE thanks to Natalie for making everything run so smoothly.

This photo is just so… HILARIOUS. The girls are always wondering what exactly the guys *do* those hours before the wedding. Now you know… They act just like they always do!

Lauren’s dad immediately started bawling the moment he saw Lauren in her wedding gown. It was one of the most touching father-daughter moments we’ve seen.

Congratulations, Lauren and Mike!!!

Engaged! Elisabeth + Scott

By Anne Almasy | E-Shoots | April 18, 2007 |

Scott owns Scott Wang Photography here in Atlanta, GA, and it’s only fitting that he would (finally!) get engaged to his shooting partner Elisabeth! Scott and Beth are a gorgeous, wonderful couple, and we couldn’t be happier for them!

The day was freezing, so I grabbed some shots of them together here in the studio. (We’ll have to get together again when it’s WARM outside, guys!)

Sneak Peek!

By Dan & Anne Almasy | Portraits | April 18, 2007 |

Joni and Chip aren’t even our clients yet and we’re already photographing them! They came in for a meeting and we wound up taking their picture. Fun!

**UPDATE** Joni & Chip have officially chosen us to photograph their wedding! We couldn’t be more excited! We had a great time meeting them, they’re really awesome folks!

Married! Jessica + Ed

By Dan & Anne Almasy | Weddings | April 18, 2007 |

“It has NEVER rained at a wedding we photographed.” This is what we tell every couple we work with. Well, our spotless record was broken when the sky opened up just 20 minutes before Jessica and Ed’s garden ceremony in Atlanta was set to begin.

Jess and Ed were great sports though, and didn’t seem to mind a bit when their 100+ guests were packed into the tented patio for an under-cover, rain-free ceremony. And I have to say, we got some pretty cool shots in such tight quarters!

This is one of Jessica’s little flower girls in her fairy wings:

Jessica and her dad wove through the throng of people to the front of the tent:

Jess and Ed’s wedding day overflowed with love and laughter. It was so much fun to meet their wonderful family and friends!

CONGRATULATIONS!

Married! Anna + Trey

By Dan & Anne Almasy | Weddings | April 14, 2007 |

The day Anna and Trey got married, the pollen count was nearly 6000. Our biggest challenge was making sure Anna’s dress remained white – not yellow – throughout the entire day! Thanks to Claritin and some big doses of DayQuil, we were able to overcome our allergies and have an AMAZING time shooting this adorable couple. Not a bad way to start off our wedding season!

Their ceremony was held at Buford First United Methodist Church. We walked just a few blocks down the street for their reception at Bona Allen Mansion, which was absolutely gorgeous!

SlideShow Pro

By Dan Almasy | Design, Press & Praise | April 3, 2007 |

We’re extremely honored to have been mentioned on the News section of the official SlideShow Pro website.

For those of you who may not know, SlideShow Pro is a great Flash-based system for creating galleries and albums, with an easy-to-use web interface. It’s fully customizable so that anyone can create a gallery that matches the look and feel of their website, and it all works great, we would recommend to anyone, amateur and professional alike.

SlideShow Pro has gained a strong following with professional photographers and even folks in other professions. Hilary Clinton’s official campaign website is even using SSP!

Many thanks go out to Todd Dominey and Brad Daily for creating the “guts” that make SSP so great. We will continue to use and implement SSP into our website and all of our future projects.

New Home… New Blog!

By Dan Almasy | Design, News | April 1, 2007 |

Well, as we stated in our last post, we’re moving from our small apartment, to our brand new home studio, a loft in the heart of downtown Atlanta.

To help celebrate this big change, we’re “moving in” to a new blog too!

We’ve done some general cleaning up and re-designing, and we hope you like what we’ve come up with. Our opinion is that this new design better represents our aesthetic and the direction we’re going as artists.

We will be back in the office, and writing new posts later this week, so kick back, and enjoy the new blog!
